Passion for Books

This blog is about books, my love affair with them and my passion for reading. It would be a journal of my reading habits as I make my way through my reading list one book or two at a time. I’m not a librarian nor do I own a large collection of books, well not yet, but that shouldn’t stop me from loving books and loving reading them.

I invite other book lovers, bookworms, bibliophiles and any one who enjoy books and find delight in reading to come and share your stories, a book or a couple of the ones we love the most. Books and stories are one of the best things a person could have. Sharing them with friends and even strangers would make the whole affair even more profound and worth every page turned, every penny or centavo spent and time spent lost in the world of books.

About the author

I’m Jhay Rocas, a Lasallian Volunteer, activist, techie and an anime fan. I loved reading since I was very little. An arm injury when I was 10 kept me indoors and away from the typical sports a young Filipino would grow up playing. However, it was then that I discovered a whole new universe, that gave me this love for reading, in books.

Novels, fantasy, fiction and its twin the non-fiction books have always been in my reading list. Though most of the books I’ve read fall under the Humanities – philosophy, history, politics and economics, the natural sciences have filled in a significant share of my bookshelf.

Constantly looking out for a good book, I’d spend more time in a bookstore than in the department store whenever I’m in the a mall. I dream of having my own library at home and some day too, I plan to write a book or two.
